call me: the evolution of communication, a collaborative exhibition of art and sound with musician victor burks. Water combined with communication devices becomes the consistent imagery. The wave, fluid and fast moving, symbolizes the transformative energy of advancing trends in communication technology. As technologies come and go, their obsolescence are depicted in the “Tangled Cord” paintings in which old telephone and earbud cords become entangled in old discarded devices. Environmental issues of obsolescence, waste and pollution surface as manifested in ocean garbage patches.
